The
Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) has announced the
retirement of its CEO Capt Ismail Hashim
effective yesterday.
The company’s deputy CEO, Azlan Shahrim, will
take over the functions as CEO of the company
till a new person is appointed.
Meanwhile, PTP chairman Datuk Mohd Sidik Shaik
Osman said the company was actively looking for
a new candidate.
Capt Ismail had led the company to new levels of
growth since he was appointed CEO in 2008, he
said.
He added that it would be a tough decision for a
replacement and the company was carefully
selecting candidates for the post.
For now, our deputy CEO, Azlan, will manage
duties as CEO and we will announce the confirmed
candidate once the decision is confirmed,
according to Sidik.
Prior to his current role, Azlan held a number
of senior management positions in MMC Corp,
Sapura and Peremba and worked as a corporate
lawyer at Shook Lin & Bok.
