Clean Sea International are building an infrastructure of world class terminals throughout Asia Pacific, supporting the liquids in bulk industry.
Our first terminal located in Korea, at the Yangsan Inland Container District recently opened in January.
Identical to Clean Sea Terminal Westport both pioneer the latest technologies to exceed all minimum standards, and comply fully with Responsible care.
Our objective is to build a network of identical facilities throughout strategic locations in Asia pacific.
We are extremely proud in presenting Clean Sea terminal Westport to Malaysia.
Westport is an ideal hub centre and free trade zone, meaning that tanks can be repositioned from other Far East locations, and redistributed in the region, as well as supplying the Malaysian market.
Apart from supplying the local Port Klang, Penang and Johor markets Clean Sea terminal Westport can also supply tanks, to the rapidly emerging petrochemical manufacturers, in Kuantan and Kertih.
In addition to this-Westport will now be able to offer a unique value-added service to its portfolio, of growing services, which will further enhance the growing reputation of Port Klang.
Clean Sea terminal Westport is a first for Malaysia with its pioneering technology!
For environmental, safety and cost reasons many buyers demand tank containers as opposed to older conventional packing, such as drums.
The main impediment and handicap for Malaysian exporters to date has been the lack of an international class facility for cleaning and repair of tanks.
Tanks entering Malaysia have had to go to Singapore for cleaning or back to Europe for any specialised repairs. This has hindered tank availability and added to the overall cost.
Now with the opening of Clean Sea terminal Westport, we are able to provide a support mechanism, which will create new opportunities.
Clean Sea Terminal Westport meets and exceeds all possible safety and environmental standards, which is not possible safety and environmental standards, which is not only a major concern of the large multinational chemical manufacturers but the Malaysian Government as well.
A key factor in our edge technology ensures that a fully consolidated service is offered to our customers base:
-all products can be cleaned safely
- cleaning of tank containers, road tankers and IBC's
- Major and minor structural repairs
- Specialised stainless steel repairs
- On/off hires
- Statutory surveying
- Product heating and sampling
- Tank inventory management via the internet
- Waste water management and control.
- Regional logistics management packages
Our "one stop shop" concept is a major stimulus and boost for the Malaysian manufacturers and exporters.
Much is being said about responsible Care?
Government, society and industries around the world are becoming concerned with issues relating to environmental protection and health & safety.
The petrochemical industry transports chemicals, which can destroy whole eco systems and cause serious environmental damage.
Therefore these products must be handled in the safest manner under the strictest codes and regulations, one of which is Responsible care.
Conscious violation of this code is not only breaching industry standards, it is committing a crime against the environment.
A well known Native American activist -aptly describes modern industrial progress as such
:
"Only when the last three has died
And the last river been poisoned
An the last fish been caught
Will we realise
We cannot eat money......"
The similarity between this profound statement and responsible care are one and the same.
As an industry it is up to all of us to ensure responsible care is fully complied with. It is a mandotary obligation.
Today marks a milestone for Malaysia, and the liquids in bulk industry.
With the right technology and the right attitude, a healthy balance can be maintained between commerce, industrial progress and environmental protection.
With the right health & safety implementation-no worker will be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
Again, I thank all of you for coming, as together we are the force behind responsible care.
