Reflecting on the expanding opportunities in the transshipment trade between
Malaysia and Indonesia, a total 15 weekly services now serve between
Northport, Port Klang and various ports in Indonesia.
The wider feeder connectivity has not increased the service frequencies at
Port Klang but has also created wider options for Malaysian shippers to
reach Indonesian market.
The increase in the connectivity of shipping services between Malaysia and
Indonesia is reflected in the increase in lifting of containers that rose 30
per cent in the first five months period of this year at Northport.
The connectivity has also increased the attraction of Northport Port to
mainline service operators (MLOs) as base to transshipment containers to
regional and international markets.

Consortium, PIL, NYK Line, China Shipping, Interasia Line and PT Djakarta
