New SEA service launched

Japanese shipping company K Line and Singapore-based New Econ Line are to jointly launch their new South East Asia Feeder Service (ASECO-X2) in June.

The weekly service will be operated by three 550 TEU ships and the rotation will be: Penang – Port Klang – Singapore – Ho Chi Minh City – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Bangkok – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Klang – Penang.

The companies says that the new feeder service serves as second strings of our existing ASECO-X jointly operated service with NEL and will cater not only to Intra-Asia traffic but also to provide a high quality feeder service to trunk line cargoes to/from growing markets such as Thailand, Vietnam & Malaysia.
