Trident
University of Technology, a
leading US University will launch
its programmes delivered by
distance learning, in Malaysia in
September 2001 in collaboration
with approach LOGIS Management
Consultants Sdn. Bhd.
The
University’s BBA in Global
Logistics Management will be among
the programmes offered by LOGIS
which has been working with the
Australian Logistics Academy (ALA)
for the last three years.
ALA
offers an intensive Diploma and
Graduate Diploma programme in
Malaysia and is now running its
6th intake in the Klang Valley,
Kuantan and Penang.
The
BBA in Global Logistics Management
allows students to continue to
pursue a top University programme
by distance learning in Malaysia.
“It
is targeted not only at Logistics
services providers but also people
who are involved in the other
functions of Logistics and Supply
Chain Management, such as
purchasing and inventory
management, governmental
organisations and ‘shippers’,
“ said Adjunct Associate
Professor Raymon Krishnan of ALA.
Students
at Diploma level can complete the
Graduate Diploma within 18 months
at a cost of approximately RM9,000
and then go on to pursue the
Degree and complete this between
18 – 24 months at a cost of
between RM12,500 – RM18,500.
The
variation in the fees payable
reflects the level at which a
student enters the programme as
both the Academy and University
consider applications at advanced
standing for both previous work
experience and academic
qualifications.
