Conference on transport chain in Malaysia

   

Well-known industry figures - Datuk Elias Kadir, Managing Director of Kontena Nasional Bhd, Dato Dr Jason Goh, president of Association of Forwarding Agents Port Klang and Mirzan Mahathir, President of CHAM are amongst others will be convening on 21-22 June 2001 at the first "Malaysia Transport Chain" Conference in Kuala Lumpur. 

 

Elias Kadir will speak on reforms and new development in Malaysia’s transport chain while Mirzan Mahathir, from Konsortium Logistik Bhd will look into service objectives in the container haulage industry.

 

A paper on the challenges of distribution system and how affects the Malaysian and foreign transport players will be explored by Nachi Appan Suppiah, Adjunct Instructor for Australian Logistics Academy

 

Other papers to be delivered at the conference include:

  • Legal Liabilities Pre and Post Privatisation

  • Relevance and Importance of Strategic Partnerships in the Local Transport Sector to Meet the Challenges Posed by Globalisation

  • Risk Management / Loss Prevention in the Transport Chain
