Local companies engaged in marine engineering, naval architecture, modelling
and ship building are invited to apply for financial assistance by The
Netherlands government to conduct various research projects and R&D
partnerships with the Dutch under the "Technological Collaboration Subsidy
Scheme".
The financial support scheme for R&D collaboration between the Netherlands
and Malaysia is being offered to allow local companies to gain access to new
know-how and markets, as well as cost and risk sharing.
The Dutch Government has launched a Technological Collaboration Subsidy
Scheme ("Technologische Samenwerking Internationaal or TSI") which is aimed
at stimulating collaboration between Dutch businesses and their foreign
counterparts in the area of R&D, according to a statement from the Royal
Netherlands Embassy in Kuala Lumpur..
“In view of the good perspectives for Dutch businesses here in Malaysia, it
was decided to add Malaysia to the list of countries qualifying for
financial backing under the Technological Collaboration Subsidy Scheme,” the
statement added.
The Scheme seeks to encourage R&D collaboration in the area of R&D
collaboration between Dutch and Malaysian businesses and research
institutes.
The Scheme is being co-ordinated by SenterNovem, which is an agency of the
Ministry of Economic Affairs. It implements government policy in the fields
of technology, energy, environment, exports and international co-operation.
Its objective is to make an enduring contribution to the position of the
business sector and knowledge institutions in the Netherlands.
Details of the SenNovem Financial Support Scheme and Registration Form have
been posted on www.portsworld.com and interested companies may download the
application forms.
Meanwhile, Jan Kok, Commercial Secretary of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in
Kuala Lumpur said SenterNovem will host the “SenterNovem Matchmaking Event”
in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, 28th September 2005.
Interested companies or individuals have been requested by the Royal
Netherlands Embassy to request for an appointment to meet with potential
Dutch partners. |
