Malaysia International Shipping Corp (MISC) is set to earn revenues of close
to US$57m on a newbuilding VLCC it is said to have fixed out on a three-year
charter.
Brokers say the 300,000-dwt 'Bunga Kasturi Dua' has been chartered by J&F at
some US$52,500 per day upon delivery, which will take place shortly, from
the Universal shipyard.
The figure is more or less in line with last month's rate for the
298,000-dwt 'Venture Spirit' (built 2003), which also was fixed for three
years.
The deal is highly profitable one for MISC as the company is said to have
ordered the ship for US$65m. |
