Mayne
Logistics, a leading logistics and
healthcare service provider,
unveiled its new brand in Malaysia
to link its local operations to
the group's international
business.
"The
move is important to ensure all
our activities become
customer-focused rather than
product-driven. The new brand will
identify our growing Malaysia
operations with the strength of
our international business,"
said the Group General Manager of
Mayne Logistics, David B Cranwell.
Cranwell
who was in Kuala Lumpur for the
launch of the company new
corporate logo, said Mayne
Logistics has been building-up a
comprehensive supply chain network
across Asia to provide timely and
reliable service for Malaysian
business - no matter where their
product is headed.
“Our
branding will further reinforce
our presence in Malaysia, which
Mayne views as one of its key
Asian growth markets for
logistics,” he added.
In
fact, Malaysia is the largest
components of Mayne Logistics
Asian operations (outside
Australia), and we have invested
more than RM45 million to cater
for the fast moving consumer goods
(FMCG) and industrial products. A
Central Distribution Centre
facility has been developed on a
7.45 acres site at Shah Alam to
service FMCG contract logistics.
The 187,500-sq.ft-area facility
with 30,000 racked pallet
positions is dedicated for
Unilever, SC Johnson and Philips.
"Malaysian
outfit distributes more than 10
million cases of consumer goods
and 550,000 tones of paper
products around the country each
year," the Managing Director
of Mayne Logistics Malaysia,
Pancha Charam.
"As
we are part of a wider
international organisation a
number of well-established
shippers are beginning to contract
out their logistics requirement to
us,” he said.
Pancha
said the company has added CPC/AJI
to its growing list of our
long-term partners.
“We
remain committed to developing and
growing with our client. We will
continue to market our skills
strongly to attract new customers
so that we can get a bigger
network and better service, in
Malaysia and beyond to the whole
region," stressed Panca.
Mayne
has also leased 130,000sq.ft
distribution centres to service
cross docking and storage of
recovered paper and newsprint for
Malaysian Newsprint. The company
also manages the logistics
requirement of Malaysian Newsprint
Industries in Mentakab, Pahang.
Panca
said Mayne, which has
substantially increased its
investment in IT investment, will
leverage its efficiencies across
the region and provide continuous
service improvements and cost
reductions for our customers.
