A day
seminar/workshop covering
pertinent areas including when to
arrest a ship, how to respond when
it happens and how to avoid an
arrest will he held in Kuala
Lumpur on 8 November 2001.
The workshop
to be led by a prominent shipping
and admiralty lawyer Dato Jude
Benny a senior partner of Joseph
Tan Jude Benny of Singapore, will
take a look at legal and practical
issues in arrest of ship.
Participants
will deal with
multi-jurisdictional scenarios led
Jude Benny and a team of
experienced maritime lawyers from
JTJB International lawyers,
recognized at the Asian Law Awards
2001 as “the Best Shipping
Practice”.
Danny Chua
will speak on effecting release of
a ship under arrest and avoiding
arrest while Ooi Thian Seng will
touch on liens as an alternative
to arrest.
