The
Malaysian Shipowners Association is
organizing a maritime talk by
leading industry experts on recent
issues affecting the shipping
industry, including the impact of
the September 11 terrorist attack on
the US on international shipping and
insurance.
The
executive vice president of Skuld P
& I Club, Arthur Pilkington from
Norway will talk on "War &
Terrorism: The impact of September
11 on the insurance cover”, while
Dato Jude Benny of Jude Benny
Consultants Sdn Bhd will speak on
"Forum shopping and maritime
claim."
Pilkington,
who is lawyer by training, has
worked for the Norwegian protection
and indemnity club for the past 16
years, and is currently head of
claims while Benny is rated as one
of Asia’s leading maritime
lawyers.
