GPS Tech Solutions Sdn Bhd has become the first sponsor of one of the
Transport Industry Awards that will be presented at the Transport Industry
Awards Nite 2005 to be held 25 November 2005 in Kuala Lumpur.
The industry fixture event, organized by the Chartered Institute of
Logistics and Transport (Malaysia), is expected to be attended by more than
1,000 practitioners from the industry will witness the presentation of four
category awards.
The Minister of Transport, Dato Sri’ Chan Kong Choy has confirmed his
attendance.
Apart from the Transport Company of Excellence Award that will be sponsored
by GPS Tech Solutions, other awards are Transport Personality of the Year,
Young Achievers Award and Transport Media Excellence Award.
The Transport Industry Awards will be selected from nominations by a panel
of judges that will include the Secretary General of the Ministry of
Transport, Datuk Muhd Safaruddin Bin Muhd Sidek.
In endorsing the efforts of the CILTM in organizing the Transport Industry
Awards Nite 2005, the Chief Operating Officer of GPS Tech Solutions, Seah Soo
Aun said his company was committed to enhancing the public perception of the
industry.
“We believe the awards initiated by the CILTM will contribute towards
enhancing the competitiveness of the economy by emphasizing on achieving
greater efficiency and productivity,” said Tan Sri Dato’ Tan Kok Ping, CEO
of GPSTech.
Meanwhile, the President of the CILTM Encik Abdul Radzak Abdul Malek said
nominations for the awards are open and urged companies and industry
practitioners to make their nominations.
