The Malaysian Ports and
Shipping Services Directory 2009/2010, which
will feature comprehensive information on
shipping services linking the Malaysian ports to
over 270 ports worldwide, will be released after
the first quarter next year.
The directory, is an initiative of PortsWorld,
the country's leading private sector transport
data and research organisation, Nada Sepakat
Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd's executive
chairman, Datuk Kamaruddin Abdul Ghani, said in
a statement here Wednesday.
He said PortsWorld has appointed Nada Sepakat
Corporation as its marketing and promotion agent
for the directory.
The directory is expected to be widely
circulated to all shipper groups in Malaysia and
would provide useful information to importers
and exporters in the country on the range of
shipping services linking Malaysian ports to
global ports.
"The directory offers good value for money and
we expect ports and port-related as well as
logistics companies to take advantage of this
unique opportunity to advertise and promote
their products or services to the targeted
users," said Kamaruddin.
He said the directory would offer itself as an
effective marketing tool for Malaysian ports and
as an outreach platform in their promotional
efforts.
Among other publications by PortsWorld include
the Malaysian Maritime Director for Malaysian
Shipowners, ShipMonitor and also the Ports
Review for the Federation of Malaysian Port
Operating Companies.
It also offers the freely accessible Malaysian
national maritime portal at www.portsworld.com.
