Bhd has completed the en-bloc sale of its
Anggerik Class vessels comprising four 29,900
deadweight tonne (DWT) single-hull chemical
tankers for US$14 million.
The
sale of the vessels, built between 1989 and
1991, was in line with the company's asset
management strategy to phase out single hulled
vessels.
The national shipping line, in a filing to Bursa
Malaysia today, said it only wants to maintain a
modern fleet of chemical tankers which was part
of its chemical business unit's trading
requirements.
