PORT INFORMATION:

Westport developed by Port Klang Authority on the island of Pulau Indah were privatised to Klang Multi Terminal Sdn Bhd (KMT) in 1994. Since then the concession company has been developing various cargo handling facilities to meet the fast expanding demand.

 
PILOTAGE:

KMT is providing the pilot and towing services within the Westport area in Port Klang waters. (For pilotage, navigational approach and anchorage refer Port Klang page). Movement of all vessels within the ports pilotage district is compulsory. The service is provided round-the-clock. Pilot boarding is either at Pintu Gedong in the South Channel or Pulau Angsa in the North Channel.

NAVIGATIONAL APPROACH:

Pintu Gedong for passage through the South Channel with 360m wide and 15 metre depth. Ships from and to Singapore enter and leave by the South Klang Straits.
