PORT INFORMATION:

Lumut Port commenced operations on July 1, 1995. Built, owned and operated by Lumut Maritime Terminal Sdn Bhd. Shareholders are Perak State Developments Corporation, Halim Rasip Holdings Sdn Bhd and Ipco International Ltd. Encompasses a port (32.4 ha) and Industrial Land (445 ha).

 
LOCATION 

Lumut Port is located on the west coast of Peninsula Malaysia in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan, along the banks of the Dindings River at latitude 4 degrees 15.3 minutes North and longitude 100 degrees 39.6 minutes east directly off the Straits of Malacca. Located about 78 km from Ipoh and 240 km from Kuala Lumpur.

 
NAVIGABLE CHANNEL 

Minimum depth - 7.0 metres at any time / Maximum depth - 9.3 metres at high tide

 
PORT WORKING HOURS 
3 shifts, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
 
ADMINISTRATIVE WORKING HOURS

0830 - 1700 Mondays to Fridays / 0830 - 1230 Saturdays. Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

 
TERMINAL TYPE

Gazetted Royal Custom's Port Common User Port, designed and equipped to handle dry bulk, conventional breakbulk, container and heavy project cargo.

   
PILOTAGE:

Frequency : Ch 12 , 14

Procedure :

i.  Pilotage is compulsory for the terminal and is available 24hrs.

ii. A Notice of Arrival (NOV) should be sent through the agent,72h before ETA

iii. An inport/inward manifest should be sent through the agent,48h before the

    vessel's arrival.

iv An application for a berth is made once the ETA is confirmed but not later than

   24h before the vessels arrival.

v. Pilot boards in position 4 10' .5N 100 35'.0E (S of Pulau Pangkor)

Open (60,000 sq metres) and covered storage (5,100 sq metres) for containers and general break bulk cargo. Heavy and medium load open storage areas for bulk and other cargoes. Loading platform, mooring dolphins and tank storage farms for liquid bulk handling.
