Pasir Gudang Industrial area, the Port’s
outreach is now extending to new growth areas
in the state.

Liquid
cargo handling facilities expanded
A
number of pro-active measures have been taken
to upgrade its liquid cargo handling
facilities at the Port to cope with the
increasing volume of liquid cargo as well as
to meet the berthing requirement of larger and
bigger capacity ships in the trade.

Logistics strengthen its base
JP Logistics Sdn Bhd, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Johor Port Berhad
has become the first port-owned company to
secure road haulage license to transport
container in Johor
and Malacca.
Surge in cement
trade
With the
overall improvement of the economy, the
performance of the construction sector and
boosted the movement of cement clinker/gypsum
trade dramatically at Johor Port.
Throughout poised
for high growth
The total
sea borne trade at the Port in the first nine
months of this year posted a double growth of
14 per cent to 17.46 million fwt compared with
15.26 million fwt in the corresponding of
previous year.
