IT is KPC’s
endeavour to develop and enhance the education of the
workforce in order to be able to serve more effectively, competitively and
productively in the port industry and the logistics chain.
In pursuing the continuous process of learning and re-training of skills and
knowledge, in July 2001, KPC in collaboration with an institute
of learning took the initiative to introduce the Chartered Institute of
Logistics and Transport Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management.
The first batch of 16 students comprising staff of KPC, local freight
forwarders and port users registered for the 18-month course is due to
graduate in October 2003.
A second intake of 21 students had just begun and are scheduled to graduate
in the same field in one and a half years time. |
