 With intensive development now underway to improve and enhance the cargo handling facilities and services at our port, we are embarking on an aggressive marketing promotion to win more cargo and customers. 

 

 

PETRONAS COMMITTED TO PETROCHEMICAL HUB DEVELOPMENT

 Petroleum National Berhad (Petronas) which has a major role in fuelling the growth of the Eastern Corridor has raised US$323.2 million syndicated loan facility to fund its wide ranging activities aimed at developing petrochemical industries in the region.

 

 

PARTNERSHIP APPROACH TO DEVELOPMENT

 Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd, the concession holder of Kuantan Port, has proposed the adoption of "East Coast Incorporated" concept to forge ahead with the development of "petrochemical corridor" of country.

 

 

JOINT EFFORTS  TO PROMOTE PETROCHEMICAL HUB

 The cargo throughput via Kuantan Port has receive a major boost with the higher volume of liquid traffic generated by the petrochemical industries following the commissioning of the two Integrated Petrochemicals Complexes in Kertih and Gebeng'.

 

CUF COMMENCES OPERATION

 The Centralised Utilities facilities (CUFs) owned by Petronas Gas Bhd (PGB has successfully commenced its first delivery of utilities to customers at the two integrated petroleum complexes (IPCs), namely Kertih Integrated Petrochemical Complexes in Terengganu and Gebeng Integrated Petrochemical Complexes in Pahang.

 

 

INDUSTRY SPIN-OFF BENAFIT LOCALS

 PETROCHEMICAL industry is expected to create huge spin-offs to local entrepreneurs in term of providing various services like maintenance and material supplies.

 

 

AGENT CONFIDENT OF PORT GROWTH

 Kuantan Port shipping Association (KPSA) is excited at the prospects that are likely to merge from the expected expansion of the container trade, including the liquid bulk trade which is expected to generate  demand for tank containers.
